Angad Bedi who was recently seen in ALTBalaji and ZEE5's The Verdict: State vs Nanavati has lately been lauded for his striking performance in the gripping courtroom drama. The actor essays the character of Late Karl Khandalavala where he is seen defending Kawas Nanavati, a case that had provoked government, media and naval officers of the country. Angad who has given stellar performances in all his movies, left no stone unturned in delivering his best to this character too. Doing complete justice, the role, Angad not only was appreciated by his audience but also received admiration from Late Shri Karl Khandalavala’s close family relative. Striking the right chord, he found Angad’s acting to be so natural that it instantly reminded him of his uncle. He left a heartfelt text for the actor saying, “My dad and Karl uncle would have been very happy to know that son of their favorite cricketer Mr. Bedi is playing Karl uncle in the show. No one can play better than you; his attitude, personality, confidence and his love for art. Good luck!”

Completely overwhelmed with this appreciation, Angad said, “It feels really special when you work so hard to prove yourself as an artist. I feel Karl Khandalavala is my most memorable role till date. Karl’s DNA and body language are poles apart compared to who I am as a person. I feel extremely blessed and fortunate to be in a position where I could have gone wrong, but I pushed myself in a way to have my character resonate with the audience. Moving forward, I look to give more than 200% to that role and hope that it strikes the right chord with the audience.”

The 10 - episode courtroom drama showcases the most debated and controversial jury trial. Three gunshots fired by Commander K M Nanavati began a war of moralities, sexes & communities. A crime that divided India’s patriarchal society of 1959 & led to its most controversial judicial case. Through the eyes of Slyvia Nanavati, The Verdict has given a different perspective to the case expounding misogyny, the division of communities, the debate of sexes and moralities.
