An Arya Spin-Off Show Gets Ruled Out By HBO; There Won't Be Any Sequels!

Arya Stark's adventures may always remain a mystery...

The much-talked-about divisive finale of 'Game Of Thrones' is now over and the world of David Benioff and D.B. Weiss won't be returning in any manner even though the original creator, George R.R. Martin has a couple of books to come out yet.

Nevertheless, HBO definitely wants to keep the momentum and rage of the Thrones world going on and that is one of the reasons it has a couple of prequels already in the making right now. Even though almost every principal character of Thrones received a mixed response, the love and acceptance of Arya Stark were the biggest positive. It was so much that post the finale of the show, fans started wondering and even asking if there is a chance of a spin-off show with Arya as the titular character now that she has gone to the 'West of Westeros.'

It did seem like a great idea but sadly that possibility has been ruled out by HBO programming president, Casey Bloys.

He said, “Nope, nope, nope. No. Part of it is, I do want this show — this Game of Thrones, Dan and David's show — to be its own thing. I don't want to take characters from this world that they did beautifully and put them off into another world with someone else creating it. I want to let it be the artistic piece they've got. That's one of the reasons why I'm not trying to do the same show over. George has a massive, massive world; there are so many ways in. That's why we're trying to do things that feel distinct — and to not try and redo the same show. That's probably one of the reasons why, right now, a sequel or picking up any of the other characters doesn't make sense for us.”

Even though Casey has ruled it out, we can atleast cling to the hope. Can't we?
