Amitabh starrer Shahenshah Confirmed for Remake; Kaalia yet under talks!

In a career span of 51 years, Amitabh Bachchan has ruled the box-office numbers with great honor. Offering a platter of diverse characters, he has won millions of hearts with his performances. Now, recent reports in SpotboyE claim that Amitabh Bachchan starrer Shahenshah is confirmed for a remade. 

Producer Tinnu Anand confirmed the same and informed that even Kaalia (1981) has been in great demand from filmmakers because they want to remake it.

"Yes, I will remake Shahenshah. But let this coronavirus attack end first. It's on our heads and hence I cannot tell when I shall start and release the remake," said Tinnu.

The report also mentioned that there will be modifications in the original that will eventually bring out a modernized version. Tinnu further added that "Shahenshah released in 1988. We are in 2020 already." 

Without a doubt, there would be changes in the Kaalia remake too, keeping the premise and essence the same. 

Talking about Kaalia, Tinnu Anand said, "A lot of filmmakers have approached me for remaking Kaalia. So yeah, but I am not sure if I will produce that remake or give away its rights to someone else to take it forward."

Tinnu Anand directorial Shahenshaah starred Amitabh Bachchan, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Pran, Prem Chopra, Kader Khan, Amrish Puri, Rohini Hattangadi, Supriya Pathak and Vijayendra Ghatge in main roles, was co-produced by Tinnu Anand, Bittu Anand, and Naresh Malhotra. 

Like the original, Tinnu Anand may direct the remake but no final decision has been taken on that particular aspect yet.
