Amitabh Bachchan Becomes One of India's Highest Taxpayers, Pays Rs 120 Crore in FY 2024-25

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan continues to dominate the entertainment industry even at the age of 82. According to recent reports, the actor has earned an impressive ?350 crore for the financial year 2024-25. His tax contribution of ?120 crore makes him one of the highest taxpayers in the country. His income comes from multiple sources, including film projects, brand endorsements, and hosting the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Amitabh Bachchan has once again demonstrated financial responsibility by paying ?120 crore in taxes for the fiscal year 2024-25. A source close to the industry shared, “From starring in some of the biggest films in Indian cinema to being the first choice for major brands, Amitabh Bachchan remains in high demand. He is also the most loved host on television with Kaun Banega Crorepati. His total income from these ventures amounts to ?350 crore, making him one of the highest-earning individuals in the film industry.”

The report also revealed that Amitabh paid his last advance tax installment of ?52.50 crore on March 15, 2025. The source further added, “Even today, he is a role model for millions. He ensures that all his taxes are paid on time and continues to take on exciting new projects.”

Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16, a show that has remained a fan favorite for years. On the film front, he was last seen in Vettaiyan alongside superstar Rajinikanth, marking their reunion on-screen after three decades. The film was released on October 10 and received a positive response.

His next big project is Section 84, a courtroom drama directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. Additionally, he will return in the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD, which is directed by Nag Ashwin. With such an exciting lineup, Amitabh Bachchan continues to inspire audiences and remains a dominant force in Bollywood.
