Amita Khopkar OUT, Narayani Shastri IN As Karn's mother in 'Karn Sangini'

Star Plus 'Karn Sangini has been doing well but new entries are sure to spice up the show. The makers were casting for Karn's mother's role and now the latest buzz is that veteran actress Narayani Shastri will be stepping in to play the role.

Narayani Shastri was last seen on 'Rishton Ka Chakravyu and is most popular for having done iconic shows like Piya Ka Ghar and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The actress has replaced Amita Khopkar who was earlier finalized to play the character.

Narayani spoke to a leading daily confirming the news and mentioning that there are no reference points for the character. The character is neither negative nor positive and rather its a grey character, one which is very strong.

This is the second replacement after the show has launched as earlier Karan Sharma, who was locked in for the show made an exit due to the make up room fiasco.
