Amit Tandon now shifts focus to music - will roll out a series of lilting songs!

Indian Idol fame Amit Tandon who used television as a platform to boost his singing talent stunned the viewers with his vibrant personality and macho boy image in various shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and the last one being Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.

Shifting his focus from television as a resolution this year, the handsome actor is all set to launch 4 new singles starting this month!

Sharing his excitement, Amit averred, "I am very eager about getting these songs launched. Two songs have been re-created while the other two are a party anthem of this year and an emotional song which will hopefully be loved by a lot of lounge music lovers respectively. This is the first time that I am so excited about the launches. The x-factor about these songs is that their video will feature two well-known TV actresses."

An excited Amit also shared the audio of the two re-created tracks with our scribe to have her views on the songs and we must say, the man has spunk! The first teaser and the video will be out this month the other songs will be released in the consecutive months.

When our scribe complimented him for the fantastic talent he possess, a humble Amit quipped, "I have worked very hard and trained under the guidance of ace singer Sonu Nigam's guruji - Ustad Mohammad Tahir. All I want to say is that there is a huge difference between what people heard and saw me during my 'Tanha' days and now. I am sure I have made my guruji proud and it is because of him that the quality of my voice has reached this level of perfection.

So has television and acting taken a backseat for the actor?

Amit said, "There are a lot of things I can do as an actor. I will be featuring in these videos which incorporate acting and I am hopeful of the launches opening new doors to stardom. But to answer your question, I have done anchoring, daily soaps and a lot more and will continue to do so if something interesting comes up in the fiction or non-fiction space. But for now, my focus is only singing and I want to push the envelop further to do everything which entices me!"
