Singer Amit Paul, who was placed second in the third season of the popular singing reality show "Indian Idol", is looking forward to unveiling his debut album soon.

The "Pyaar ki dastaan" hitmaker was away from music for over three years, and now he is excited about his comeback to the industry.

"I was in Arunachal Pradesh then in Guwahati and other parts of the country. I was travelling a lot. I was like a gypsy. I have decided to do my album in Hindi. It will be my debut album. I will start with one song and its video. It will hopefully be out by October," Paul told IANS.

"I will start with singles and try for a music label. We have lots of things to do before that. The song should be a romantic one," said the singer from Meghalaya.

But first, he wants to shed the extra pounds he has gained.

"I want to be fit first and then I will shoot the video. I have thought of doing four songs. One will most probably be shot in Shillong, one in Arunachal, and the rest in different parts of India. I haven't decided, but two songs will be certainly shot in the northeast," he said.

Would he like to sing more songs for Hindi films?

"I would love to be a part of Bollywood. After my album, I have got a few projects to do as well. Let's see," he said.
