The on-going nationwide lockdown has severely impacted the economy of the country. With the shoots being halted, the entertainment industry are also undergoing losses. The latest reports in the media suggests that Amazon Prime's popular series Mirzapur, Made in Heaven & The Family Man will face major budget cuts amid the lockdown.

According to Rajeev Masand, various streaming services including Amazon and Netflix are reworking on their budgets for their upcoming shows. As per his reports, the creators of Manoj Bajpayee starrer 'The Family Man', Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have agreed for the budget cut for their upcoming season. The series was shot before the lockdown and the creators and the crew will have to undergo a salary cut. A similar deal was made with the makers of Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal starrer 'Mirzapur' which was also shot before the lockdown.

However, Made in Heaven creators, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti don't want to compromise on the quality of the show and are most likely planning to reduce the number of episodes for the second season of 'Made in Heaven'. They also have been asked to make budget cuts and they were apparently supposed to shoot few parts of the show in Italy ahead of the lockdown.

The OTT platform, Amazon Prime had also recently announced 7 films to mark their debut on the streaming platform including Gulabo Sitabo, Shakuntala Devi and five other regional language films.
