In a difficult turn of events, the Razdan-Bhatt family is currently grappling with a trying situation as Mr. Narendra Razdan, the father of Soni Razdan and grandfather of Alia Bhatt, finds himself in a critical condition at the hospital. This unfortunate circumstance has prompted Alia Bhatt to cancel her scheduled trip abroad for an award show, as she prioritizes her family during this trying time.

According to reports, Mr. Narendra Razdan has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for a significant duration. Initially diagnosed with a lung infection, his condition has progressively worsened. The news arrived in the morning when the family received a distress call from the medical team, urging a transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU).

However, after careful consideration, the family made the difficult decision not to proceed with the ICU transfer. Instead, their primary focus is to ensure Mr. Razdan's comfort within his hospital room. At the age of 95, he is currently in the sunset hours of his life.

Alia Bhatt, known for her deep bond with her family, promptly changed her plans upon receiving the news. Recognizing the vulnerability of her beloved grandfather, she made the heartfelt choice to return from the airport and forgo attending the award function. Her decision reflects the strong values of family unity that she holds dear.

Alia has often expressed that her family, comprising her parents, older sister Shaheen, and grandparents, form the foundation of her world. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in the film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' directed by Karan Johar. It will also star Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. The film is all set to hit the big screens on 28th July, 2023.
