Vrushika Mehta, last seen in Dil Dostii Dance
on Channel V says,
Holi is about colors. I do not know much about the back story of why we celebrate Holi. I know there was Pralhad who was sitting in Holika's lap. While Pralhad was all fine, Holika was burnt and hence we celebrate Holi.
Pratibha Paul, last seen in Dil Dostii Dance on
Channel V says,
"The day we celebrate Holika Dahan, is because Holika was burnt that day. We perform this ritual so that all the wrong doings and negative energies will get burnt along with the Holika. Holi is celebrated because Pralhad was tried to burn that day but nothing happened to him, instead Holika turned to ashes.
Meghan Jadhav, currently seen in Mooh Boli
Shaadi on Sony TV says,
"Holi is one of the biggest festivals in our yearly calender. We celebrate festivals to bring people together, to bring color in our lives. On the day of Holika Dahan, we let go off all our problems and begin afresh. According to the ancient and Gregorian calender, March is the first month of the year. So it is basically we are leaving back all the negativities behind and starting it on a clear note.
Vinita Joshi, currently seen in Bharat Ka Veer
Putra - Maharana Pratap says,
"Holika Dhawan is about the victory over good on bad. The backstory about Holi is - Raja Hiranyakashyap wanted his son Pralhad to worship him. But Pralhad used to worship and had faith in Lord Vishnu. It was about a fight between whom to worship. Hiranyakasyap's sister Holika too harassed Pralhad in a lot many ways. But like it is said, good wins over the bad. Holika was burnt and absolutely nothing happened to Pralhad."
TellyBuzz wishes all of you a Happy Holi!
