After Sushant’s Demise, Kriti Sanon Lashes Out in a Hard-Hitting Post; Stands Against Social Media Toxicity & Unethical Media Reporting

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has left his family members, friends and fans shattered over the loss. The 34-year-old actor took the drastic step of ending his life by hanging himself to death on Sunday, June 14.

Sushant was battling depression for the last six months and was on anti-depressant pills as well. His untimely demise has started a conversation around mental health on social media platforms and many people have also called out the hypocrisy of Bollywood biggies offering condolences to the late actor but allegedly neglecting and boycotting him in his tough times.

Amid the various debates going on following Sushant’s demise, his dear friend Kriti Sanon has taken to social media to share a powerful message. Kriti and Sushant were seen together in the film Raabta and shared a close rapport as well.

Kriti was one of the few Bollywood celebrities to attend Sushant’s funeral held on Monday.

Taking to social media, Kriti lashed out at the social media darkness and called it the ‘fakest and most toxic place.’ She hit back against trolls attacking celebs for not posting a RIP post. 

Kriti also mentioned the insensitive behaviour of some media at funerals and how celebrities are pestered for one picture or one comment at such private affairs. “Let’s put humanity before our profession,” she said.

The actress also slammed unethical journalism and stated that blind articles should be illegal and should come under mental harassment. She adds that gossip can affect someone’s life and family. Kriti strongly condemns the gossip culture and pleads to stop circulating any rumours without any proof.

Earlier, Kriti had penned a heartfelt note in memory of Sushant Singh Rajput. Sharing a few pictures, she wrote: “Sush.. I knew that your brilliant mind was your best friend and your worst enemy.. but it has broken me completely to know that you had a moment in your life where Dying felt easier or better than Living. I so wish you had people around you to get you pass THAT moment, i wish you hadn’t pushed the ones who loved you away.. i wish i could have fixed that something which was broken inside you..I couldn’t.. I wish so so many things.... A part of my heart has gone with you.. and a part will always keep you alive.. Never stopped praying for your happiness and never will..”
