The popular Zee Tv show, 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' has been going through some major developments in recent times. Recently, we reported about how actor Iqbal Khan will be entering the show in a pivotal role and will be the antagonist in the track to come.
However, even before this entry could happen, according to a leading news daily, veteran actress Surekha Sikri will be quitting the show. Yes! That's right.
The veteran has been a part of the show since its inception and has been one of the pillars of the show leading to its success. However, in recent times, the actress hasn't been in the pink of health and hence had several issues adjusting with the dates for the shoot. However, the actress never complained about the same and continued to give her best.
Now, it has become difficult for her to manage her health, and she is also a part of 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil,' which made it tough for her to continue with 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani'.
Playing the quintessential antagonist for all this time, her character will be shown giving up and committing suicide, thus ending her character. And this will mark the entry of Iqbal Khan into the show.
It is also being said that Iqbal's character will eventually lead to a love triangle between himself, Rani (Eisha Singh) and Raja (Sartaj Gill).
