Adipurush set to shatter box office records with 40-50 crore opening collection?

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon's highly anticipated film, Adipurush, is poised to make a groundbreaking impact at the box office as it gears up for its release on June 16. Helmed by director Om Raut, the epic saga stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience for audiences.

According to a report from Hindustan Times, renowned film producer and industry expert, Girish Johar, is confident that Adipurush will open to an extraordinary response. Johar highlights the film's widespread release across over 4000 screens in multiple languages as a contributing factor to its immense potential. Speaking about the film's reception, Johar explains, "The audience has shown great enthusiasm for the new and revised trailer. Based on our legendary epic Ramayan, Adipurush is a family outing, and I anticipate a colossal opening ranging between ₹45 and 50 crore (or even higher) for all languages combined."

However, Johar cautions that if the film fails to meet expectations, the box office numbers could witness a decline over the weekend. On the other hand, a positive reception could see a surge in collections, with second-day figures potentially reaching ₹60 crore and third-day numbers soaring to ₹70 crore. 

Building on the tremendous anticipation, the advance booking for Adipurush commenced on June 11, resulting in a substantial ₹3.5 crore in advance ticket sales in India. This overwhelming response further attests to the massive buzz surrounding the film and the eager anticipation of audiences.

Inspired by the revered Hindu mythological epic Ramayan, Adipurush showcases Prabhas in the role of Raghav, an alternative name for Lord Ram, while Kriti Sanon portrays Janaki, also known as Sita. Saif Ali Khan brings the enigmatic character of Lankesh, the lord of Lanka, Ravan, to life on the silver screen.
