Actress Delnaaz Irani breaks the stereotyping!

Renowned theater and television actress, Delnaaz Irani who has carved a niche on the small screen with her outstanding acting and well-known recalling roles, is back to entertain her fans in a unique avatar. Having been in the industry for more then a decade, the talented actress  has time and again given something new to her fans and audiences. Keeping up with this versatility, the actress is now seen in very different and mature role in the upcoming web-series titled Virgin Woman Diaries, directed by Kabir Sadnanad.

In films, she has been portraying role of a friend to many in various popular sitcoms. Breaking this stereotyping with her new show Virgin Women Diaries, Delnaaz will be seen playing the role of a Gujju mother of a 18-year-old young girl who has some sexual desires. Inspite of living in Kenya for years, this Indian mother is no less in her thinking and is known to be a typically orthodox one.

When we quizzed with Delnaaz about her choice to opt for this differential role, she said, "I have been portraying a lot of roles which created an image of mine in people's mind. With Virgin Women Diaries, I wanted to break that image and showcase the different sides of my acting. Being a mother of an 18-year-old is something I have never done before and this itself is a challenge for me which makes it even more interesting. It is more mature and a meaty role for me which is something new too. Since its a web-series, the number of episodes are known so we need to work hard on every episode. The trailer of web-series has been launched recently and I am getting a positive feedback. I am excited for the show to launch which is going to happen on September 4. We all had great fun while shooting and hope everyone likes it too."
