Actors Idea to celebrate Father's Day

If I was in Delhi with him then I would definitely cook a special meal for him. But since I'm shooting in Bombay, I plan to order his favorite flowers along with cake and have it delivered at home.

When I was 4years old, my family and I went to Haridwar. I saw water and got very excited and jumped into it, my father saved me by jumping in after me.

 

There is no best advice. He is always been the guiding light in my life. Every morning I recollect everything he has taught me about life all these years.

"One memorable moment that comes to my mind is when my dad and I were travelling by train from Ahmedabad to Ludhiana. I was in ninth standard and I got down the train to fetch an ice cream and didn't realize that the train started moving. Luckily, I got into the train in another compartment. But to my surprise the compartments weren't interconnected and his next station would arrive only after 2 hours. I did not have a mobile with me nor did any passenger had one. Frantic, I began to wonder if he got down thinking that I have not got on board. Those 2 hours seemed to be the longest hours of my life. When the train stopped at the station, I saw my dad on the platform searching for me. At that moment, I thought I would get a scolding from him but he just hugged me and said, "I knew you were smart and would get on the train" I could see the tension, love and many more expressions on his face. I can never forget that night"

The best advice your father ever gave you

"Well, that advice came when I was struggling in Mumbai and wasn't getting anything and was just trying to be positive saying that it's Okay and I'll be alright, But he knew the stress I was feeling so he told me once which I always follow that is " tujhse pehle Jo is takht pe takhtnasheen tha, apna khuda hone ka usko bhi utna hi yakeen tha".He also taught me to never get bogged down because it maybe someone else's day but tomorrow will be yours. Keep your head held high and feet grounded and you will get what you want."

"There are too many memories that I have with my father, so much so that I cannot zero in on one particular instance. My father is a retired judge, and while he was practicing, our home used to be next to the court away from the main city. In the evenings, my father used to spend all his time with me and my brother - he was very hands on. He would play cards, carrom board and even badminton with us. My father is my hero because he spent so much time with his family when he had more than enough opportunities to go out and spend time with his friends. But, he chose to be with us."
