Richa Rathore as Ghazal in 'Rabb Se Hai Dua'

Zee TV has been a trendsetter in shaping television content over the past three decades. Having narrated several stories that have resonated beautifully with audiences across India and given us successful shows like ‘Manmohini’, ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’, and ‘Teri Meri Ikk Jindri’, Zee TV and Studio LSD have come together yet again to present viewers with a new fiction offering – ‘Rabb Se Hai Dua.’ Set against the backdrop of old Delhi, the show focuses on the journey of Dua who is married to Haider. A pure soul and a very simple girl at heart, Dua feels extremely blessed and grateful as she is leading what she considers a perfect married life, until one day when Haider confesses to having fallen in love with another woman. He seeks Dua’s permission to marry her and she is left shattered. Whether Dua will grant Haider’s wish or stand up to her husband's request for a second marriage and assert the appropriate interpretation of the Quraan.

While every actor goes through several trials and workshops for a character and to understand the nuances of acting, Ghazal (Richa Rathore) revealed how she never planned on pursuing acting in her life. In fact, Richa is an engineer and her career in acting happened by chance for her.  Having said that, Richa used to give various auditions just to try her luck while doing her job. As a matter of fact, not many are aware that she was part of Imtiaz Ali’s famous film- ‘Tamasha’. Although Richa continued her job, soon after that she got a call to play a pivotal role in the popular show Kumkum Bhagya and in a heartbeat she took it up and shifted to Mumbai.

I debuted on television with a small role in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, for which I left my job and shifted to Mumbai from Shimla. It was never my plan to switch from being an engineer to an actor.

Richa Rathore mentioned, “I guess the film ‘Tamasha’ was a turning point in my life. After being a part of this film, I realized that acting is something that I enjoy, and I started giving various auditions, which turned my interest towards acting, as my passion. I debuted on television with a small role in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, for which I left my job and shifted to Mumbai from Shimla. It was never my plan to switch from being an engineer to an actor. After I shifted here, I realized I was meant to be an actor and I am passionate about it. Playing the character of Ghazal in ‘Rabb Se Hai Dua’ is a steppingstone for me to turn my dreams into reality and I am really happy how my journey is panning out.”

While Richa Rathore is finally living the life of her dreams, it will be interesting to witness how things will take turn in Dua’s life as Ghazal and Haider are getting closer by the day
