'ABDUL' or 'RAM'? Devoleena Bhattacharjee REVEALS which RELIGION will Shahnawaz & her son follow

Devoleena Bhattacharjee, popularly known as Gopi Bahu from Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya, recently opened up on what religion will her son follow upon growing up. The actress, in a recent conversation with Paras Chhabra, was asked about the same and Devoleena had a beautiful answer to the same.

Speaking to the Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame, Paras asked, ''Abdul or Ram, aapka beta bada ho ke kya banega?'' Giggling, Devoleena replied, ''Indian bann ne wala hai, total Indian, Bhartiya bann ne wala hai.'' ''I think we have a very beautiful concept, agar hum bolte hai na ki, ek life style jeene ke liye aapko ek dharam chaiye, but ek bachhe ko agar, dono dharam se achi cheeze mil rahi hai, wo achha sikh raha hai toh wo ek acha insan banega, I guess isse acha toh kuch ho nahi sakta,'' Devoleena then adds.

The actress further states that her son can make his own choice regarding the same after he grows up. ''Har kisi ko apna ek faisla lene ka hak hota hai. I personally feel mere bachhe ko leke ke kyu main apna dharam uspar thopu? Ya phir kyun Shaan apna dharam uske upar de? Jab wo sochne samjhne wala ho jayega, dono hi dharam ki beauty ko woh dekhne wala hai. Main ghar pe pooja karti hoon woh bhi dekhne wala hai, Shaan namaz padte hai, masjid jaate hai, woh bhi dekhne wala hai.''

The Bigg Boss 13 fame then emphasizes on god being 'one' and states that he is just given different names. The actress states that the supreme power is one, however, some know him as 'Allah,' some as 'Ram' and some as 'Jesus.'

For the uninformed, Devoleena got married to now husband Shahnawaz on the 14th of December 2022. Devoleena and Shahnawaz opted for a court marriage. The actress embraced motherhood in December 2024.
