Aakash Ahuja, who essays the character of Ayaan in Star Plus' popular show 'Faltu' has been winning hearts with his performance in the show. The actor got in an exclusive conversation with us and spoke about the show being in the top 4 spot, the track of the show giving in to the daily soap norms and more.

We congratulated Aakash on the show being in the Top 5 list on the TRP charts. Talking to us about how he feels on seeing the show in the top 4 list, the actor said, ''We have all been on cloud nine. Ever since our show has been on air, we have been on the TRP charts and honestly, it feels great. I think all the credits goes to our audience and I am always grateful for the same to them.''

Further, we asked Aakash about the story of the show giving in to the daily soap norms and also asked his opinion on a TV show giving in to what the audience wants to see at the end so that a show can be on the TRP charts, to this the actor said, ''I think you have to give in at the end, but I do not believe that we should. All the daily soaps do this though, but I can confidently say that this is not the case with our show. If we are showing the 'daily soap' drama for 3-4 days a week, we make sure we also show cricket for the remaining days, because that is what our story is.  And also, the story has never been about Faltu alone. It has been about a girl who wants to play cricket but does not have the resources to do the same and about a guy who has quit cricket because of his father, but helps this girl fulfill her dreams. So what I am saying is, we have always stuck to the story. Even in the episode of the show today, Aayan and Faltu will be seen discussing cricket. So, amidst all this daily soap drama too, cricket has not left the background. We have kept our show very logical.''

We asked Aakash if the TRP game matters to him and has it ever bothered him and the actor said, ''No, it does not matter to me at all. I have been a professional actor for the past 10 years now. And I know for a fact that the numbers keep going up and down. In any show, the story plays an important role which will ultimately lead for it to be on the TRP charts. So yes, it does not bother me as such and I do not go around checking it again and again, but of course, seeing my show on the list makes me happy.''

Talking about his bond with costar Niharika Chouksey, Aakash said, ''I have never had to teach her anything because she has always been well prepared. She has been very cooperative and I too have been there all the time. As a co actor and also because of the age gap we have between us, I have made sure I give my inputs in a way it does not look like I am trying to teach something to her. She is very good with her lines. We are always laughing when we are together and we share a very pleasant bond. We have been shooting everyday for the past 7-8 months, she has a very good energy.''

I also agree the show should focus on the story as such manner that it can stick to the OG plot and retain on good position in TRP chart. As the story is about Ayaan and Faltu, their individual journey, teamwork, Fayaan and fulfilling their dream, it should run for enough time to end the story with good note.
At the end of the day, good TRP will help the show to run long. Sometimes audience don't even know what they really want, so creatives should focus on story and fans are glad they are doing it.

Thank you - he makes so much sense - the creative team and writers should focus on the story rather than audience demands
