A model turned actor to debut with Sahara One's new show!

Telly Buzz was the first to report about Edit 2 Production's new venture on Sahara One, tentatively titled as Hamari Beti Raaj Karegi. It's a story of a college going girl Anjali who goes through the phase of marriage, and how her life changes post marriage.

As we know, Aditi Sajwan of Meera fame was earlier finalized to play the lead. But later on, she was replaced by Akansha Juneja of Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai fame. Ravi Bhatia essays the male lead's role, while Shagufta Ali will play a vital role.

A source informs, "Shashank Sharma who is a new face will be seen essaying the parallel lead along with Ravi Bhatia. Shashank is a model by profession and has executed his talent in a forth coming movie called Chule Aasman which is scheduled to go on floors by early next year. He has also done few commercials for print and television. He will be essaying a grey shaded character in the show.  The shoot for the show has not yet started and is scheduled to start by next week."

When contacted, Shashank Sharma confirmed being a part of the show. "I can't divulge any detail about my role but can confirm about my presence at the moment."

We tried calling Producer Benaifer Kohli., but she remained unavailable.
