A lot different from reel life! - Shalini Khanna

Shalini Khanna better known as Deepa, the loving sister of Shubh played by Siddharth Shukla in Ratna Sinha’s Babul Ka Angann Chootey Naa, lives a very different life from her onscreen role.

Talking about her reel and real life she says, “I play the character of Deepa Mehra and she is extremely close to Shubh. The brother-sister jodi is so attached to each other that Shubh normally seeks his sister’s, i.e. my advice whenever in trouble, but in real life I actually end up taking a lot of advice from my brother Gaurav. I must say that he is my biggest critic.”

About her on screen brother Siddharth Shukla, Shalini acclaims, “Siddharth is a great guy and happy go lucky person. He always makes sure that we are all laughing when he is around. I think as a person he is eager to learn and is open to suggestions”. In fact Shalini is so fond of Siddharth that she addresses him as Bhaiyu, a nickname for her real brother.
