Sony TV has been presenting the viewers a handful of really great shows, amongst which, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi tops the list of many ardent viewers.
As the show airs its last episode tonight, we thought that we'd give you a few reasons that not only made the show a worthy watch, but, are also reasons of exactly why we need more such content on our television screens. After all, content these days is the king, and there is no doubt on that.
#1. The portrayal of a woman's character - Strong and Powerful

While in current daily soaps, women are always portrayed to be the oppressed and the weak, this wasn't the case with the show. Erica Fernandes aka Sonakshi had a strong character, and was a vehement soul. She was the kind who wouldn't give in just because she is supposed to be the weaker sex, and that was one very powerful thing about the show.
#2. Treatment to a social taboo like divorce - Mature and Mellowed

Rather than portraying how life comes to a standstill after separation, the show had two matured people gradually moving on, without seeing any need to highlight the heartbreak to add more drama. Despite the regressive nature of a taboo like divorce, the portrayal depiction wasn't met equally.
#3. Depiction of the girls' parents - Unapologetic and Defiant

Sonakshi's parents were yet another set of characters that did not go the archetypal way. Being from the girl's side, while the father did not give into demands of any sorts, the mother too, maintained her stance without having to highlight how they are always supposed to stoop low because they have a daughter. In fact, even after the divorce, they do not look down about their daughter and neither do they let others do it to her.
#4. Grey shades to the characters - Prompt and Undisposed

What makes the show an all the more greater watch is the fact that there were shades to characters, and highs and lows to their stories. The entire idea of not having a fixed set of attributes to the characters kept the show from falling flat.
#5. The love story - Rational yet Unconventional

A love story on Indian television does have its own sets of stereotypes attached to it. However, saving itself from being tagged as just another love story, Dev and Sonakshi's journey presented to us a relatable and practical story and not the kind where everything is all flowers and roses.
