5 probable reasons why 'Kumkum Bhagya' topped the TRP charts last week!

There sure must be something which is keeping the viewers hooked to the show...

The TRP chart for the last week was a shocker. While we had actually left hopes of seeing any other show on the top spot except for 'Naagin 2' for as long as it airs, we were taken aback by the fact that a show like 'Kumkum Bhagya' managed to dethrone the former.

And we say this because we all know how draggy 'Kumkum Bhagya' has become. There sure must be something which is keeping the viewers hooked to the show and we tried to decode it.

1. Abhi and Pragya's Marriage

We have to see Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha) finally married once and forever. Don't we? And this time around, there were a full hundred percent chances of them taking the vows for one last time (It turns out to be the second last though). After all, 'ummeed pe toh duniya kayam hai'!

2. The fresh wave of concepts

We think the show should now be renamed to '101 Unique Tricks To Kidnap Someone'. We are sure this show has given other shows many ideas to get their leads kidnapped if not anything. Also, the show definitely gives us some variation if we do not want to watch a solid crime-based fiction drama.

3. Who will win the battle

If not anything at all, the nation wants to know who will Abhi choose. It is, after all, a matter of acute tension for both the viewers and the trio (Abhi - Tanu - Pragya) to get their answers.

4. An end to Pragya's wretchedness!

Looks like the viewers won't ever give up on the poor girl, Pragya. They firmly believe that one fine day, she will finally get rid of all the daily dose of drama, or more so, the barriers in her life. Maybe this one time, the viewers were hoping as much as us that this will all end.

5. Abhi's fate post marriage

From a rockstar to now becoming the man stuck between two ladies, the viewers need answers. Will he become a homemaker next? Or maybe we would see him renounce the worldly pleasures after having finally married?

The worst serial ever.. i don't understand how the show is still on...its utter nonsense & just repetition. I strongly feel ppl shd stop watching the show...there are much better serials than this crap

As a long-time Kumkum Bhagya watcher, I myself am saying that I am disappointed in it topping the charts. I was hoping there are better, more worthwhile shows on Indian TV. If KKB topped the charts, Indian TV is nothing short of trash at the moment. Props up to Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia for carrying the show despite the crap. Honestly, it was you guys that achieved the results, not the writing.

I like the actors of the show but being a fan of the show from first I definitely feel Kumkum Bhagya doesn't deserve this trp for such crappy episodes n no moment in story line.
I'm definitely not a blind fan to say yes kkb deserves this trp because actors work hard, everyone does work hard for their shows so everyone deserves good trp.
I wish Sriti Jha n Shabbir Ahluwalia get a knew show worth their talent. But sadly TV is at worst phase where every channel competes to run garbage shows n we don't really have a choice than watching garbage.
Lastly everyone are entitled to put their pov just like saying don't watch I say don't read the criticism against the show. lol.
I wish story line does justice to the actors talent rather than letting vamps rule the show. Three years n kkb is still stuch at same point it's obvious people will get frustrated.

such a waste of time ..TRP topper ,honestly tell them aunties at home to please for gods sake stop watching this repeated crap atleast then the show will move forward with new story line which the show and fans are desperately craving for ...

Whatever may be the reason...the show has topped in the trp chart due to efforts of the leads & their effort deserves to be no.1...love Sriti Jha & Shabir Ahluwalia...

Lol so many kkb haters. Even ppl who are there in kkb forum 24X7 are saying how bad it is.. stop watching the show people. I am sure nobody is forcing you to watch the show on gun point.
Sriti and Shabir along with other actors are working so hard. It deserves to be no 1.
