It might be entirely coincidental that given how several things in terms of restrictions have been lifted this week onwards when it comes to the lockdown, and we also suddenly have a barrage of content to watch on streaming platforms. Over 20 plus films and TV shows will be coming on leading streamers which include the first big film to have a digital premiere in the form of Gulabo Sitabo. Let's rock and roll


The Casino

When: 12th June

In the reckoning fow a while now, the Karanvir Bohra and Mandana Karimi led show is about a reluctant heir to a billion-dollar casino who’s emotionally trapped by his father’s manipulative mistress Rehana who must find a way to overthrow her and claim his inheritance. It certainly seems one of those shows that can satisfy your guilty pleasure if done well.

Chintu Ka Birthday

When: 5th June

Produced by former comedy group AIB, Chintu Ka Birthday has already received immense love and appreciation from around the globe at several film festivals. The film is set n Iraq about a family who finds themselves trapped by American soldiers.

Never Kiss Your Best Friend - Lockdown Special

When: 14th June

After the pleasantly surprising Never Kiss Your Best Friend starring Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh, the show is set to be presenting with a lockdown special but with a new male lead. This one will see Tanie faking an online relationship with her first ‘guy best friend turned boyfriend’, only to find herself falling in love with him all over again.


Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai Season 3

When: 6th June

One of the big-ticket shows for Alt Balaji with an alluring star cast, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai returns this month with the third season and obviously has an array of new things to look forward to.

Jurrasic World fame Bryce Dallas Howard makes her directorial debut teaming up with her father, Ron Howard to explore contemporary fatherhood through anecdotes and wisdom from famous comic actors such as Will Smith, Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris, and more.

Another multi-starrer but only because of its documentary styling, Dear... is about how one person's story can change the world. R.J. I May Destroy You

Already talked about a lot, this sexual consent drama about Arabella, a witty up-and-coming writer whose life changes irreversibly when she’s sexually assaulted in a nightclub is something we are certainly looking forward to.

I'll Be Gone In The Dark

When: 29th June

A six-part documentary series based on the book of the same name, I’ll Be Gone In The Dark explores writer Michelle McNamara’s (the late wife of comedian Patton Oswalt) investigation into the violent predator she dubbed “The Golden State Killer”, who terrorized California in the 70s and 80s and is responsible for 50 home-invasion rapes and 12 murders.


Your Honor

Newest on the exclusive streaming block, Sony Liv's series, Your Honnor is adapted from the Israeli series Kvodo, Your Honour is a dark thriller starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Mita Vashisht, Varun Badola and more.


Motherless Brooklyn

When: 26th June

The phenomenal Edward Norton dons the hat of writing, directing, and acting in this film which is about a lonely private detective living with Tourette Syndrome who ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna (Bruce Willis).

Another Indian original, Rasbhari stars Swara Bhaskar as an English teacher whose life gets difficult after one of her students falls in love with her.

Usually, anything with Joseph Gordon Levitt on-screen is good enough and in this one, he stars in a German hijack drama about a young American co-pilot on a flight from Berlin to Paris whose flight is hijacked by terrorists.

El Presidente

When 5th June

Probably one of the most interesting ones to look forward to, El Presidente – a Spanish true-crime drama series that explores the real-life conspiracy underlying the beginning of the 2015 FIFA Gate corruption scandal.

Gulabo Sitabo

When: 12th June

A trailblazing decision to have a big feature film having its digital premiere instead of theaters owing to the pandemic. Gulabo Sitabo is a quirky comedy from Shoojit Sircar and stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan as a tenant and landlord constantly at loggerheads with each other.


Fuller House

When: 2nd June

The farewell season of the reboot of one of the most popular sitcoms from the late 80s, Fuller House has the Tanner family coming together one last time.

Spelling The Dream

When: 3rd June

Already in the conversation for a while, this documentary explores the trend of Indian-Americans ruling the Scripps National Spelling Bee since 1999 for the past 12 years straight with perspectives from CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Fareed Zakaria, comedian Hari Kondabolu and more.
