Known to celebrate Indian cinema around the world, this years 10th Videocon IIFA Weekend and IDEA IIFA Awards in Macau saw a plethora of stars adding to the IIFA magic. The Indian Cine stars made the most of their visit to the dragon city this year as they not only basked in the glories of the Videocon IIFA Weekend activities - the IDEA IIFA awards, The Green Carpets, The media briefings, The Zaia and the Fashion shows but loads of other things like shopping, eating and much more.
Amitabh Bachchan the Brand Ambassador of IIFA is the first Indian film star to be immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds. His statue created 10 years ago, travelled from London to meet him at The Venetian, Macau for the 10th IIFA celebration.
Thoroughly nervous about her first ever stage performance, Sonam Kapoor was serenaded by the Gondoliers as she confessed to liking romantic songs and her crush, Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp.
Dia Mirza and Jackie Bhagnani were caught experimenting with their palate at the weekend. Zayed Khan who is a known football fan couldnt control his excitement when he found himself in a zone at the Venetian dedicated to his favourite football team " Manchester United. Having been the captain of his school football team, Zayed felt right at home among the Manchester Red Devils and was visibly sad when he had to leave.
The newly famous kids of Slumdog Millionaire, Tanvi, Tanay and Ashutosh couldnt get enough of all the fun as they played to their hearts content at the kids centre of the Venetian Macao Hotel-Resort in Macau.
For another pretty debutant Anushka Sharma, the Videocon IIFA Weekend has been just great and she is ecstatic about Indian Cinema going global. Awed by the performances of the streetmosphere performers, Anushka was floored as she herself loves to dance. Not surprisingly, the streetmosphere artistes were bowled over by this beautiful Indian actor and couldnt help fighting for her attention. Originally from Bangalore, she comes from an army background and is a huge rock fan especially of soft rock. Her favourites include U2, Coldplay and Bono.
The entire film industry was overwhelmed by the audience response to this years IIFA celebrations which are estimated to reach an audience of over 8 million viewers.
