Uzma Khan, known well for her role as Lubna in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, is all set to make her television debut with Fahim Burney's next titled Aadhi Gawahi.

Penned by Saima Akram, Aadhi Gawahi is a Momina Duraid production that is slated to air on Hum TV after Eid.

The model turned actress has been seen plenty of times on the cinema screen, but this time around, she has finally decided to give television a go.

"I've wanted to do a drama since a long time. It's like I had to do it because currently we really don't make that many films. And considering how thriving our drama industry is, I would've been here sooner than later."

"When offered Aadhi Gawahi, I was like, why not? The drama has an excellent script, amazing story, great star cast and of course a wonderful director. Didn't want to say no to such a brilliant opportunity." Uzma added.

According to Khan, she will be playing the second lead in a love triangle that will exist between Ali Josh, Sohai Ali Abro and herself. The drama revolves around a social issue and will explore the subjects of powerful men and how they exploit the society based on the power of money.

"Mine character is very different from what I have done so far in films. This one is going to be a refreshing treat. And I'm certainly excited for it. I've had a wonderful experience on the sets with my makers and the cast and I'm really looking forward to Aadhi Gawahi on television. The best part was, I really liked the role. It was powerful and I had absolutely no issues about the leads, whatsoever. It's been wonderful so far." Khan tells us.

Apart from Aadhi Gawahi with Fahim Burney, Uzma Khan is also in talks for another drama with the director. The lady will also be seen in the second stint of Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, currently waiting to start shooting for the comic ride all over again.
