Ram brought the car to a halt with a screech...What was wrong with the entire world??? He wondered angrily...First it was Vikram and Neha who couldn't stop teasing him mercilessly... then priya's 'mad' family who readily made plans for their Honeymoon...And Priya laughed over his singing...How dare she...
"Damn!!!!!" he muttered, gritting his teeth... he glanced sideways to find his wife about to doze off... on top of that she was behaving funnily, giggling like a teenager, muttering something to herself, her voice slurry... she looked rather drunk...but he remembered she had only orange juice...
"Priya..." he called out... but she paid no heed...and was speaking gibberish...
"Priya utho...ghar aagaya..." he said a bit loudly this time... but no... this stubborn mule was going to give him a hard time...
"PRIYAA...chalo ghar aagaya..." he shook her arm lightly...
"Aagaya ghar..." she said blitzed...looking at him with surprise...
"Haan chalo..." he said coming out of the car...
Priya stumbled her way through...tripping and falling... Ram had to literally carry her to their room... he thanked his lucky stars that Daadi was nowhere around...and of course Rishab, he did not want another round of teasing...that too form his much younger sibling...
"Mr.Kappooorr...main chal sakti hoon..." priya slurred snatching her arm from his grip...
"Haan pata hain...din bhar to girti padti rehti ho..." he said loosening his tie...
"Hee...heee...woh kya hain na...mujhe yeh sari ki aadat nahin hain na..." she said waving the pallu of her sari...
Ram stood still, observing her keenly... What was wrong with her, why was she behaving in such an atrocious manner... She was always very Prim and Proper...Simple and Elegant... He snapped out of his thoughts... What was he thinking... Did he just called priya elegant... Well, she indeed looked pretty in her pink sari...
"Mr. Kapoorrr...mujhe aur juice chahiye..." priya mumbled...making a face...pouting like a little kid...
"Priya abhi nahi...tum so jao...please..." he tried to apease her...
"Nahin...mujhe abhi chahiye..." she stomped her foot... Ram threw his hands in frustration...
"Priya...abhi kitna late ho gaya hain..." Ram tried to make his drunk wife understand...
"Nahin..." she tripped again and this time she fell into her husband's protective arms...
"GODDD!!!!" ram excalimed... she felt like a feather...dainty... for some odd reason he loved it...
"Priya...get up..." he made her stand, feeling really nervous at their proximity...he smelled a whiff of vodka from priya... He was so sure this was all Neha's mischief...that woman can never let him rest in peace...
"Priya...chalo...sleep..." he had to drag her towards the bed...
"Lekin juice..." she hicupped...
"Kal subah hote hi...i will get you the juice...i promise..." he said making her sit on the bed...
"Pakka promise...gentleman's promise..." she said...
"Haan...haan...promise" he said... priya beamed...
"Waisa...Mr.Kapppooorrr...aap itne bhi bure nahin hain... aap...aap bohot cute hain..." she said, suddenly raising her hands and pulling his fluffy cheeks... making Ram to go all shades of red... his eyes popped out...
"Priya...chodo..." before he could complete, she fell back...and was already in deep sleep...
He stood for a moment, hovering over her sleeping form... with a smile...
Walking to the other side of the bed he flopped...too tired to change... he was sharing a bed with his wife...that too a drunk wife...wait till tomorrow morning Miss. Hitler...i will tease the hell out of you...for the first time in many years, he did not need those idiotic pills to lull him to sleep... He couldn't wait for tomorrow's sunrise...
