Zee TV's Dahan changes production hands from Endemol to Hats Off..

Zee TV was to come up with a fiction show with Big Synergy, which got scrapped due to creative differences. The same has happened again with their forthcoming show Dahan which was to be produced by Endemol India.

The casting of the show was done and Farooq Sheikh, Yashpal Sharma, Lubna Salim and Jatin Shah were finalized to play pivotal roles. But now, the channel seems to have dropped the idea of going ahead with Endemol India, and has chosen Hats Off Productions instead.

According to our source, "Endemol India faced some contractual restrictions when it came to the show. The show is the concept of writer Rahil Qazi who was to co-produce the show along with Endemol. Now, it is Hats Off Productions who have been roped in to produce this show. Hats Off will retain most of the cast that has been finalized so far".

"But Jatin Shah might be replaced from the show, as the actor is already committed to Balaji Telefilms thro' a contract", informs our source.

Rajesh Chaddha, Director Operations, Endemol India and J.D. Majethia of Hats Off were unavailable for comments.
