A few days ago, the much-awaited trailer of the film Double XL which features Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, Zaheer Iqbal, and Mahat Raghavendra in pivotal roles was released and has generated a lot of buzz mainly due to the subject it centers around.

The male stars of the film Zaheer and Mahat recently connected with India Forums and had a candid conversation about subjects surrounding the film and their female co-stars.

Talking about his bond with Huma and Sonakshi, Mahat said,

"from Day 1 they were very sweet to me, very friendly and they made me feel like I have known them for a very long time".

To this Zaheer added,

"But he has bullied them. Also, he was a little scared to talk with Sona. In the beginning, when he used to crack jokes on Sona, Mahat would call me and ask, bro I cracked that joke, she won't get upset with me no because she is Sonakshi Sinha."

Mahat quipped,

"because when she gives that look with her eyes, her khamosh look, it gets a bit scary." He also added, "Huma would always be shocked and even surprised that when you came in you were so quiet, but now you are taking my case. But it was always fun and she was a great buddy."

Zaheer also shared his views on what was it that attracted him to the role and the script. He said,

"When I read the script I realized there was so much more to the script than just fat shaming or body shaming. It's about loving yourself and not letting what people think to stop you from reaching your goals. So I think that's a very important thing that should be said. Because of social media, the first thing people notice about you is the way you look, and nothing, your weight, colour or size should let you stop from fulfilling your dreams."

Satram Ramani helmed film Double XL is billed as a slice-of-life comedy-drama. The movie, which has been produced by T-Series Films, is scheduled to release on November 4.
