Yuvika Chaudhary says 'didn't know the meaning of bhangi' as netizens call for arrest

The internet can be overwhelming at times and to say that everyone is under severe scrutiny, is an understatement. Celebrities and other public figures often find themselves being the subject of trolls and while sometimes, netizens do go a little far, other times, they urge corrective measures. This time around, actress Yuvika Chaudhary has been called out by netizens for using the word 'bhangi' incorrectly and in fact, have called for an arrest.

Yuvika's video, where she is seen talking about how she always turns up looking like a 'bhangi' in the vlogs has not gone down very well with netizens and this has lead to people calling her out, and also, trending #arrestYuvikaChaudhary on social media. While some are mad about how such casteist remarks continue to flourish, others are furious about how people are negligent about certain facts.

Yuvika has now taken to social media as she apologized and wrote how she did not know the meaning of the word she used and she did not mean to hurt anyone and that she would never do that. 

A while ago, Munmun Dutta, seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and was also slammed for using the word 'bhangi' incorrectly in one of her videos. Later, she also issued an apology and added that she was unaware of the real meaning of the word and never intended to hurt the sentiments of anyone.

It’s a wonder anyone is able to type or post anything on the net these days 🙄 “Bhangi” is also used to refer to someone unkempt, which is what she was referring to herself as. Logon ke paas bahot free time bakwas ke upar apna time waste karne ka.

Ktptalks 4 months ago If you don't know a meaning of a word why used it first place. Just few weeks ago, another actress used this same word, didn't this actress know about it, even if she didn't know about the incident, and while editing the video she could have deleted that part. But also calling for her arrest is inhumane as well. She has apologize for it, maybe just fine them for using such words, so that they will not repeat the same mistake again
