Wish this news wasn't true; it's very disturbing: Kundali Bhagya actor Manit Joura on Sidhu Moosewala's death

On 29th May, Sunday, Punjab witnessed a horrifying incident wherein the famous Punjabi singer on Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by a few gunmen. The incident which made the Punjabi Music industry suffer a huge loss has made the entire country go into a shock.

Manit Joura, popularly known for his roles in Kundali Bhagya and Naagin 6 also hails from Punjab opened up about the incident. Talking about the same, Manit says, "Since the time I've heard this news I was in absolute disbelief and when I saw it on posted on the social media, I didn't believe it, I phoned a couple of people in Punjab and cross-checked it. And literally, they were choked while telling it to me. For me, this is like a personal loss. I haven't met Sidhu Paji and I didn't know him personally but it feels like a personal loss because I am connected to Punjab. I wish this news was not true because I don't want to think about it as it is very disturbing, not only for me but for everyone. He was a national treasure. It is very unfortunate what has happened and it shouldn't had happened"

Furthermore, he added, "I have never met him but I feel like I knew him because the thing is every morning I while coming to the sets in the car, I listen to his songs, when I get my makeup done I listen to his songs, whenever I have a bad mood I listen to his songs. Sidhu Moosewala is forever"

He also shared the fondest memory of him connected to Sidhu Moosewala, "My fondest memory of Sidhu Moosewala is from the time when I first heard his song Old School. Being a Punjabi I felt so connected to the song because of the way he sang the song with such great conviction. And the fact that he did every possible thing to bring a change is very unforgettable", he concluded.
