Widow re-marriage in COLORS' Swarg..

Rajan Shahi's new show on COLORS, Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg will see some interesting turn of events in the coming week with the focus being on widow remarriage, and the obstacles that the Tripathi family faces from the society, that objects to widow remarriage in Vrindavan.

According to our source, "Friday's episode saw a major twist wherein the entire village provoked by Kali Singh the Mukhiya (Avinash Wadhawan), put Yashoda (Jyoti Gauba) and Satya Narayan (Yatin Karyekar) under the scanner, and ask them to come clear with the relation they share. In order to stop the village from hurling accusations at him and Yashoda, Satya Narayan takes a drastic step and puts sindoor on Yashoda's maang, thus accepting the young widow as his wife".

Talking about the widow culture prevalent even today in places like Vrindavan, Jyoti Gauba aka Yashoda says, "Even when we were shooting at this place, we saw many young widows and even older people living a life of misery after being abandoned by their family members. It's so nice to play a realistic character on screen, and with this widow remarriage being shown in the show, we actually spread a message to the masses".

Jyoti Gauba is very happy to have got this role which offers her so much of variety. "I get to play three different versions in one show; I play a young widow to begin with, and follow it up by playing a mother to a seven year old kid. Once the leap takes place, I will be playing mother to three grown-up kids. It's amazing to work with such a renowned production house and channel", quips the actress.

However, life will not be a bed of roses for Yashoda after getting married to Satya Narayan in the show. "The coming episodes will see few major highpoints when Satya does not accept her as his wife, and does not allow his son Shubh to get close to Yashoda. Also, Shubh who is very happy that he has got Yashoda Mayya in his life will be slowly brainwashed by the villagers, that his step-mother will ultimately ruin his life and take away from him all the nice memories of his real mother, Kamla. This ultimately will sow seeds of hatred in the kid's mind against Yashoda, and will want her to be sent out of the house", adds our source.

Will Yashoda's genuine love for Shubh and Satya change the course of events? Will Shubh accept Yashoda as his mother?
