"We need to accept it as a challenge," said Sohum Shah about the fact of being an outsider

The debate surrounding nepotism and outsiders has been a long one where many continue to talk and debate about either sides time and again. The one truth in this saga is that the former is indeed a reality and hence, actors who don't have any lineage or contacts in any manner do have to work harder and hope persevere.

While expressing his take on all the inside and outsider talks that function in the industry, Sohum said, “When an outsider set his foot in the industry, we start with seven steps behind in comparison to those who are already a part of the industry. But that’s the way it is in other industries too and we need to accept it as a challenge.”
