Vijayendra Kumeria discusses drawing inspiration from the Bengali original of Teri Meri Doriyaann

Teri Meri Doriyaann, a Star Plus series beloved by audiences, is a remake of a Bengali show. It serves as the official adaptation of Star Jalsha's 'Gaatchora'. The gripping storyline revolves around the compelling saga of the Monga sisters and the Brar brothers. The fate of the three Brar cousins - Angad, Garry, and Veer - becomes intertwined with the three Monga sisters - Sahiba, Seerat, and Keerat.

In an earlier conversation with India Forums, Vijayendra Kumeria, one of the lead actors who portrays Angad in the show, shared insights into his adaptation process and discussed the blooming chemistry with Himanshi Parashar, who plays Sahiba and is adored by audiences.

Regarding drawing inspiration from the Bengali show, Kumeria stated, "Honestly, I've watched two/three episodes for reference. There were instances where I felt this is how I should perform, and there were places where I thought I would approach it differently, according to my style rather than replicating the original. Thankfully, the makers have given me that much space to sensibly incorporate my own nuances into the role, as I cannot merely copy someone else's performance."

Additionally, the actor addressed the chemistry with Himanshi Parashar, emphasising the contrast between their characters and the synergy they bring to their scenes. He remarked, "The contrast in the characters and the give-and-take is very good. There is always teamwork involved in creating chemistry, and Angad and Sahiba's opposite personas complement each other. From what I've observed, such pairings are greatly appreciated by audiences."

Furthermore, it's noteworthy that the Bengali series has not only been adapted into Hindi but also picked up by numerous other regional channels.
