Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible is a portrayal of a woman’s unconventional journey to earn utmost respect and dignity for herself in her life. The show depicts the story of Pushpa Patel (played by Karuna Pandey), a single mother who is determined to provide the best life possible for her children. The cast was recently joined by Deepali Pansare as the wife of Pushpa’s nemesis Dharam Raidhan (played by Jayesh More).

What were your initial thoughts when you heard about your character?

Vasundhara, is a strong character, possessing depth and complexity that makes her stand out from the average television characters. I was excited to take up the challenge and eager to portray a character that was outside my comfort zone, bringing a new dimension to my acting abilities. The role of Vasundhara was unlike anything I had ever played before. I felt that this role would push me and help me to grow as a performer.

What motivated you to take up this role?

This character of Vasundhara Raidhan has a substantial role as the wife of Dharam Raidhan. It is complex, and I'm exploring her different layers and nuances. It's a challenging role, and I'm ready to give my best and bring the character to life on screen. Being a part of an inspiring show like Pushpa Impossible was a motivating factor to take up the role. The show has made its own place in the hearts of its audience and the way viewers are responding towards the storyline is remarkable.

What do you think of a character like Pushpa?

Pushpa as a character is relatable and is a perfect portrayal of a woman. She carries herself with dignity, is determined and self-reliant. Irrespective of what she may be dealing with in her life and she protects and safeguards her family from all that comes their way. Her solutions focused approach makes her a strong character and helps the viewers connect with her instantly. You don’t often get to see such a true to life character on television.

Your character will be bringing a lot of twists and turns in the story how do you feel about that?

As an actor, I am always excited to play characters that bring a new perspective to the story and the character of Vasundhara in "Pushpa Impossible" is no exception. Vasundhara is like a foreshock, shaking up Pushpa's life. However, with Vasundhara's arrival from Canada, a lot of secrets get revealed and Pushpa’s life goes through many unimaginable changes.

With Vasundhara's entry in the show, relationships are being put to the test. Relationships between Dharam Raidhan (Pushpa’s husband), Vasundhara, and Pushpa are all being impacted. These characters will go through a series of ups and downs, and it will be interesting to see how each character reacts to these changes.

Was there any background research or practice involved before you started shooting for this role?

I did some background research on my character, Vasundhara, and on her personality traits. I tried to understand her source of motivation, relationships, thoughts and emotions. This helped me to create a believable and relatable character.

In addition to the workshops and brainstorming sessions, I also practiced my dialogues and body language to get into the skin of my character. I observed the way women older than me carry themselves and tried to imbibe those qualities in my performance.

I also had several discussions with the director and the creative team about the scenes and the character arcs. This helped me to get a better understanding of the character's journey. I believe that preparation, practice and understanding the character is crucial for delivering a convincing performance. I believe this has helped me to give my best shot and add value to the show.

How does it feel to be a part of this cast?

Being a part of this cast is a great experience. Everyone on the set is very talented and motivated. The cast and crew are incredibly supportive, and I have made many new friends during my time on the show.

I look forward to being on the set every day. The energy and enthusiasm of the cast and crew make it a joy to be on set and create a positive and productive atmosphere. This is something that I truly value, and I feel lucky to be surrounded by such hard-working individuals.
