Valentine Special: Smooching Hot Kisses on Television

Television, these days is all about breaking barriers. The makers as well as the actors these days, are all about going to any lengths for their shows. And one of the biggest barriers that they have broken is by kissing on screen. Yes! You heard it right. Kissing scenes are being telecast on television. Listed below are a few serials that showcased kissing scenes between their actors.

Ram and Priya from Bade Acche Lagte Hain

Bade Acche Lagte Hai was the first serial to break the typecast and showed a real smooch scene between its leads Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. The kissing scene led to the leads Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya's (Sakshi Tanwar) consummation sequence in the serial.

Gunjan and Mayank from Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke

Close on the heels of BALH, Zee’s show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke also showed a real lip-lock between Ankit Gera and Roopal Tyagi. The scene was an integral part of the story as Gunjan(Roopal Tyagi) has lost all her self confidence after acid was thrown on her and Mayank (Ankit Gera) in a bid to encourage her tells her that she is the most good looking girl and kisses her.

Virat and Manvi from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai

Virat (Kushal Tandon) and Manvi (Nia Sharma) shared a romantic dance and a sweet lip-lock in their honeymoon sequence. For all the light hearted banter that they indulged in on their suhaagraat, they made up for it on their honeymoon. Viraat danced with Maanvi and at the end they shared a sweet lip-lock.

Randhir and Sanyukta from Sadda Haq-My Life My Choices Season 1

SanDhir has the most explosive chemistry on-screen. We can definitely vouch for that when we see the intensity with which they kiss each other. Sadda Haq- season one has not one, not two, but three lip-locks between their lead pair Randhir (Param Singh) and Sanyukta (Harshita Gaur). The first one was a hate kiss wherein they channeled all their anger into their kiss. The second was right before Sanyukta's engagement with Samir. And the third was when they spent some cute moments together and shared a lip-lock filled with pure love for each other.

Raghu and Antara from Do Dil Ek Jaan

Do Dil... saw actors Ayaz Ahmed who played the gangster Raghu and debutant Nikita Sharma who played Antara kissing on-screen. Even though the scene did not make it to the final cut of the episode, the uncensored version was released by the makers on huge demand of the fans. The scene was shot with the backdrop of Navratri Celebrations in the soap. Raghu took Antara away and passionately kisses her.  

Manik-Nandini and Harshad-Navya from Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan

Parth Samthaan and Niti Taylor scorched the television screen with their passionate kisses on their show MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan. Even though both the actors share cold vibes off-screen, they have always played their parts of Manik and Nandini perfectly. Another hot kissing scene was shot on this show by our very own Abhishek Malik and Veebha Anand who played Harshad and Navya respectively. The couple got intimate when Harshad was feeling low on an emotional front and Navya revealed her feelings to him. The show also saw Parth sharing a lip-lock with Krissann Barretto in its initial episodes.

Swayum and Sharon from Dil Dosti Dance

Our very own SwaRon (Sharon and Swayum) finally gave the D3 fans what they had been asking for in ages. A romantic kiss which only and only depicted the pure love that Swayum had for Sharon, all those years. Even though the kiss did not take place with the original Sharon-Swayum Jodi (Sneha Kapoor had quit the show), Vrushika Mehta (who replaced Sneha as Sharon) did a splendid job alongside Shantanu Maheshwari in the scene. I feel this kiss had all the elements in it. The rainy weather, the surroundings, the fire and of course, Shantanu and Vrushika's fantabulous heated chemistry.

Rahul and Manvi from Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum

Ekta Kapoor’s passionate love story 'Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum', saw leads, Saanvi Talwar and Karan Kundra kissing on-screen. This scene however, created more drama than necessary. For the scene, Karan was supposed to kiss Saanvi and she was supposed to slap him in response. Saanvi ended up slapping Karan so hard that after the shot was completed, Karan slapped Saanvi back in front of the entire unit. This slap-gate controversy did find many takers.

Priya and Aditya from Maryada-Lekin Kab Tak

This show had Raqesh Vashisth and Riddhi Dogra in the leads. Priya (Riddhi Dogra) who's had a troubled past believes that men only have a lust for women but Aditya (Raqesh Vashisth) is determined to prove that he genuinely loves her. 

Umang and TK from Swim Team

The latest on the list of on-screen kisses is Channel V's Swim Team. Umang (Asmita Jaggi) kissed TK (Amit Gaur) in the pool. So hot! TK was seen in low spirits after his break-up with Sana (Pooja Bhamrah). Umang being madly in love and obsessed over her swimming coach TK, comforts him and with one thing leading to another, they locked lips.

Kabir and Ananya from Reporters

Sony Tv's Reporters, showed a smooch scene in its promo. Reporters was a newsroom drama and to explain the plot in the promo, Rajeev Khandelwal grabed Kritika Kamra and kissed her. She in turn slapped him and that is when Rajeev turned to his audience and started explaining his point.

Gautam Gulati in Big F

Gautam Gulati, true to his playboy image, host of MTV Big F, which focuses on youngsters' forbidden fantasies. And to elaborate more on the theme of his show, Gautam passionately locked lips with a model for the promo shoot.

Looks like times are changing for television in India and the Indian audience is starting to adapt to change in content. What say readers?
