Twinkle Khanna reveals daughter Nitara's surprising reaction when she was bitten by their pet dog

In a recent column for The Times of India, Bollywood actress and author Twinkle Khanna opened up about a heartwarming incident that unfolded over the Christmas holidays involving their pet dog Freddie and her 11-year-old daughter, Nitara. The tale not only reflects Nitara's deep attachment to their furry family member but also showcases the resilient spirit of a young animal lover. 

Twinkle Khanna recounted an accidental encounter during Christmas festivities when Freddie, their pet dog shared with a cousin, found himself tempted by a plate of chicken satay. As Freddie enthusiastically indulged, Nitara, concerned about the wooden skewers holding the chicken, attempted to pull them from his mouth. Unfortunately, in the process, she ended up being bitten on both hands.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Nitara's immediate response showcased her unwavering love for Freddie. Twinkle revealed that Nitara defended their pet even after receiving "three shots of rabies and one shot of tetanus," dismissing the incident as a mere accident. Twinkle shared Nitara's perspective, stating, "‘It was an accident. He didn’t mean to bite me, and it doesn’t matter as long as Freddie is fine.’”

Twinkle humorously contrasted Nitara's forgiving attitude with the hypothetical scenario of her accidentally causing harm, stating, "Now, if I had inadvertently chomped on her fingers, not only would there be unceasing accusations, but 20 years later, it would be a subject of intense discussion during her therapy sessions.”
