In this difficult and serious situation of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the country is witnessing a 21 day lockdown period. People are advised not to step outside their house and to maintain complete social distancing. During this time, the misconceptions and fake news revolving around the internet has led to many people abandoning their pets and a few even blame them for the spread of coronavirus.

Talking about the same, there are few celebrities who took the charge and urged people to show compassion towards animals, to not abandon them in this tough situation and to feed them. Have a look at few of them:

Jasleen Matharu- Jasleen Matharu who was recently seen in Colors TV show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge urged people to feed the stray animals and show more compassion and kindness towards all the species. Her message read, “Humble Request. The coronavirus lockdown might starve stray animals. Dogs normally congregate around meat shops, tea shops or restaurants to find their meal. However, now with all these closed, the dogs are struggling to sustain. In some localities, dogs are seen to be howling and crying for food and rummaging through trash bins. Weaker puppies and kittens may not survive this ordeal.

I am doing my bit in my locality and urge you all to feed at least 4-5 strays every day in your locality. It will protect them from starving. At a time like this, we need to show more compassion and kindness to all species and cover as many areas as possible through volunteers and feed stray animals. Pls.”
