It's all over the social media, and after the yesterday's weekend telecast, it is pretty evident that the x-factor and the kind of content, that the show, Bigg Boss used to deliver during the past few seasons has fizzled out. The controversial show, that used to ensure, to drop the TRP's of all major shows in the fiction space has failed this time.
While during the earlier seasons, people held on to their hearts and waited impatiently for the next telecast to air, wondering inquisitively, as to where the show is heading. The addicted viewers never even missed a re-cap, but Bigg Boss 9- Double Trouble seems to be very 'thanda' and has failed to meet the viewer's expectations.
But why?
Well, here are some of the reasons.. Why, we at Tellybuzz think the show already has its curtains down!
Concept of Bigg Boss 9:
The concept of 'Double Trouble' is a complete failure. Inspired by the ninth edition of the show 'Big Brother'-US, where the contestants were randomly paired up, right from the moment they entered the house, with the expectation of instigating new fights around adjustment issues.
But here, the contestants became too comfortable with each other. Infact, even after they were set free from the bond, the members of the house don't seem to be complaining about anything at all.
No diversity in the contestant's selection:
While we saw people like Sambhavna Seth, Dolly Bindra and Imam Siddique bringing in the diversity element into the house with their blunt nature and foul language against the more sophisticated looking contestants like Sameer Soni or Rajeev Paul; here we do not see a mix of contrasting personalities or people coming in from different standards of living.
All the contestants are quite decent and sorted in whatever they speak or do. And hence, a very little scope of friction and drama. Few of the characters have found their younger brothers and 'Didi' on the show. They all act like, they share the bond of brother-from-another-mother!
Contestants taking the game and tasks lightly:
The show has now entered its fourth week but it does not seem that the contestants understand the game well. The earlier seasons saw members and Bigg Boss himself raising voice on.. the dedicated sleeping hours, removing their mikes, not discussing eliminations, strict punishment over speaking in English or for that matter eating around randomly as and when they feel like.
But the contestants this year, don't seem to hesitate in breaking the rules. They all openly talk about the content they are delivering together, planning fights and controlled emotions. What they do not understand is that they need to focus on the tasks and not fights, to create controversial content. But again, we feel they are too comfortable with each other to fight. The fights we have seen earlier have been entertaining because they were more real than what we see now.
What's going on guys?
Missing oomph factor:
As per the format which always worked in their favour, Bigg Boss introduced a pornstar/gay/freak contestant in every season. Least we would expect was someone who raised the glamour quotient!
All the contestants either have their boyfriends/girlfriends in the house or out of the house. And those who are single do not seem to find anything interesting or attractive in the other single contestants. We saw Prince Narula flirting with Yuvika Chaudhary but now it looks like he is bored and does not want to mingle with anyone.
Time-slot:
Last, but not the least, we think this is one of the major reasons why the show is not doing well. Mommy says, go to bed early to wake up and go to schools/offices on time!
The show would have done better probably, than what it is doing now, had it been aired on the prime-time. Atleast, people would have watched it for whiling their time.

Timing is one of the major issue. They have lost half of the audience who use to watch at 9 o clock. Apart from this there are not many strong personality who can bring a wave in the house. There is fun and entertainment factor.
