The working pattern in India & Indonesia is poles apart: Arjit Taneja

The actor spills the beans about his upcoming projects and his experience while working in Indonesia..

Telly actor Arjit Taneja who rose to fame with his stint in KumKum Bhagya, will soon be seen playing the lead in Kaleerein, an upcoming show on Zee TV.

In a freewheeling chat, the actor opens up about his role and upcoming projects. Here's the deets:

You celebrated your birthday a while back, tell us something about it?

Despite having celebration plans, I did not celebrate my birthday this year. The reason is that I got detected with dengue on my birthday morning. So I won't say it was a good birthday, because it felt like just any another day.

Post a short break, you are returning to the screen. What do you have to say about it?

I don't think it is a very long time, I quit Kumkum Bhagya in October last year, after that I was in Indonesia. It's been a year but I'd been working during this period. However, it's been a year since an Indian TV show, and I'm truly excited about my new project.

Tell us about your character in the upcoming show Kalereein.

The character is called Vivaan Kapoor, he's an NRI, who comes to India to live with his sister. Though I can't reveal much about the character, but all I can say is, he's an arrogant and angry young man by nature; and he loves his sister to the core, and that's about it.

What preparations did you do for your role?

I did not do any preparations; it was spontaneous, natural and candid.

How was your experience working in Indonesia? How is it different from working in India?

The working pattern in India and Indonesia is very different. Starting from the working conditions to people, shows and the way they function, it is all poles apart. They are a little behind us in terms of work but overall it was a good experience.

Are you doing Gul Khan's horror episodic show?

Gul's horror show was a pilot that I shot, it was just one episode, and I shot for three days. It was nice working with them, the whole team... they were all very good.

What made you choose Kaleerein?

Kaleerein, the story is an out and out Punjabi family drama. And I resemble with the character. I have worked with the channel Zee and it was all good and hopefully it proves to be successful.
