Sushant’s Co-star Sanjana Leaves Mumbai After Intense Police Interrogation; Pens Cryptic Post from the Airport as She Travels Back Home to Delhi

Sushant Singh Rajput's last co-star Sanjana Sanghi was summoned by Mumbai Police in connection to the late actor’s suicide case. Sanjana was interrogated for seven long hours on June 30 2020.

Sanjana will be making her Bollywood debut in Mukesh Chhabra’s film Dil Bechara alongside Sushant, which will mark his last film. The actress was accompanied by her lawyer during the interrogation and opened up about the infamous MeToo allegations against Sushant.

After the intense interrogation, Sanjana has decided to leave Mumbai and has left for her hometown, Delhi. The young actress penned a cryptic message along with a picture from the Airport and mentioned that she is leaving for Delhi.

Sanjana also hinted that she might not return back to Mumbai again.

“Khuda Hafiz, Mumbai. 4 mahine baad aapke darshan hue. Mein chali, Dilli vaapis. Aapki sadke kuch alag si lagi, Sunsaan thi, Shayad mere dil mein jo dukh hai, Mere nazariye ko badal rahe hain, Ya shayad, filhaal aap mein bhi thode dukh mein hain. Milte hain? Jaldi. Ya shayad, nahi” she wrote.

Besides Sanjana, filmmaker Mukesh Chabbra, Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant's family, good friend Sandip Ssingh, actor's house staff, his chartered accountant and YRF’s Shanoo Sharma, among others have been called for interrogation by the Police so far.

Speaking of Dil Bechara, the romantic drama is based on John Green's 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars and was previously titled  Kizie Aur Manny. The film's release has been postponed multiple times, due to post-production delays and then later due to the COVID-19 outburst in India. The film will finally release on 24 July 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar.
