Star Plus' 'Meri Durga' to go OFF-AIR on...

As reported, Ikyawann will be taking its time slot.

There has been news about a lot of programming changes going on for Star Plus, under which while some shows will be going off-air, many will go on-air as well.

And some of them include Gul Khan's Kulfi Kumar Bajewala, which will be replacing Ikyawann. Ikyawann will not be going off-air, but will take the time slot of Meri Durga from 19th March onwards.

There has also been news about shows like Ishqbaaaz, Naamkarann and a few others going off-air and multiple shows soon set to go on-air, as they are in their initial stages of production.

Never in my life have I seen a channel so greedy for ratings like this fukin Star Plus. First they ended the iconic Saath Nibhana Saathiya, that revolutionised the sleeping 7pm slot. Then they made a terrible copy of Udaan (Meri Durga) and replaced it with Suhani Si Ek Ladki which was doing pretty good at 6.30pm. And the most stupid decision was axing Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil at 8pm even though it was bringing pretty decent ratings being a heroine only show as the male lead had left. Another blunder was introducing Star Dopahar and abruptly ending it in just 6 months. Two shows of Dopahar slot were particularly enjoyable : Kya Qusoor Hai Amla Ka at 12:30 and Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi at 1:30pm. If the afternoon shows were fetching 0.5 to 0.6 it's actually quite good and channel should be happy and try to promote these shows and some GECs can't even get that much trp for their big ticket prime time shows like &TV and Sony TV.

Star Plus was a leader once, Rishta Wahi Soch Nayi but they have lost it. Now only one channel is worth watching with entertaining shows - Zee TV. Shows like Mehek, Piya Albela, Kundali Bhagya are refreshing and hopefully they will continue to perform well on TRP charts. And once every year I watch Bigg Boss on Colors for masala.
