Simple Kaul: I agree there's a shortage of time which leads to a lot of stress

Youth of India is going through a big transition phase where technology, social media and opportunities are all happening at the same time. There is a lot of confusion be it regarding career choices or relationships or personal life. In fact, we all are exposed to too much of everything irrespective of the age bracket. Actress Simple Kaul who is known for her roles in Oye Jassie and Ziddi Dil Mane Na shares her opinion.

“I think today there's more awareness and more opportunities, and that people are more aware. I don't see it as confusion, I see it as opportunities coming to you. Today there's more awareness and opportunities, and that people are more aware,” she says.

Everyone is complaining about the shortage of time. The stress level has also increased among people in general.

“I agree there's a shortage of time which leads to a lot of stress. It's not wrong to say that nowadays social media has contributed to the wastage of time. I think social media is the culprit which ultimately leaves us in a state where we lack time. Apart from that, anybody who works from morning to night always feels the insufficiency of time. From my point of view, we all have stress and it is quite normal these days. It's in our hands to manage the effects caused by it,” she adds.

In the entertainment industry, the pressure to be better and the best is more visible in the public domain, is also something that is raising concern.

“There's always a pressure to accomplish better than others but that is something that is prevalent in other industries too. I have never seen anything beyond acting as such, but I believe that there's competition everywhere; it is just more believable when you are in the public domain,” she explains.
