Shweta Tiwari clears the CONFUSION over Ekta Kapoor offering her daughter Palak Kasautii...

A few days back, in an interview to a leading daily, Shweta said that the role of Prerna for Kasautii Zindagii Kay Season 2 was offered to her daughter Palak. Shweta also stated that Palak was not keen on doing it or any other acting assignment because she wanted to concentrate on her academics first.

And now Shweta, while speaking to the daily again clarified her statement.

She was quoted as saying that Ekta had actually not offered her the show, but somebody else from Balaji Telefilms had approached her for the same at a party. Shweta then went on to reveal that this person was at a very high position in Ekta's production house and had asked her if she would permit Palak to take up Kasautii... if offered.

Shweta then revealed that when she'd asked Palak about it, the latter refused because of her studies.

Well, everything's clear now, isn't it?

Kasautii Zindagii Kay is back with a second season and sees Erica Fernandes step into Shweta Tiwari's shoes as Prerna and Parth Samthaan essay Anurag, which was earlier played by Cezzane Khan. 

The show will air from 25th of September in the 8 pm slot on Star Plus.
