Shreya Narayan bags the lead role in desi verson of Afterlife..

Star Plus will now be coming up with a desi version of Afterlife, the very popular British television drama series. The show will be produced by BBC, and the project is a huge one monetarily. The show is expected to be a daily, and will launch post IPL.

According to our source, "The show is all about a girl who is a psychic with paranormal powers. She has this power of communicating with the spirits; and will be aided by a cop to come out of her mental problems".

Rahil Azam who was last seen in Sahara One's Mr. and Mrs. Mishra will play the pivotal role of the cop who helps the lead protagonist. Shreya Narayan who is a very popular face in the Telugu film industry will play the female lead in the show.

According to our source, "Many names including Gauri Karnik were auditioned for the lead role. Finally it is Shreya Narayan, a noted Telugu actor who has been finalized for the role. Rahil Azam has been finalized to play the male lead".

Shreya Narayan is also seen in Yashraj and Sony's show Powder.

We tried calling Rahil Azam but he remained unavailable.
