Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Naagin’ to go on floors this summer

Vishal Furia, the director of 'Chhorii,' is getting ready to start pre-production of his upcoming film 'Naagin.' According to the producers, the film is set to go into production this summer, and the film stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role.

The crew is currently looking for venues in India, according to a news portal article. They're looking for natural settings because they think it will help the actor's performance. Furia also revealed how she was able to secure Shraddha Kapoor for the film. Shraddha, he claimed, liked the concept and agreed to join after just one meeting. They had a couple of sittings over writing and looks, according to the filmmaker, and she is already enamoured with the process. According to him, it is an unusual character for which they would need to prepare extensively. 

Actresses like Sridevi, Rekha, and Reena Roy have previously played this mythical persona in cinema. Vishal asserted that his film will be treated differently. He also gave producer Nikhil Dwivedi credit for the Naagin concept. The director went on to say that coming from a VFX background, anything with this level of special effects thrills him. 

Aside from 'Naagin,' Shraddha will star alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Luv Ranjan's untitled next. Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia will also play pivotal roles in the film.
