Shraddha Arya Denies Engagement With Alam Makkar

One of the surprise packages and initial frontrunners of Nach Baliye 9 were the couple of Shraddha Arya and Alam Makkar. The couple went on to give some memorable performances and made it to the Top 6 of the competition.

It was in the same competition where Makkar went on to propose Arya after one of their performances and even placed a ring on her finger seemingly confirming their engagement. However, Arya has now confirmed in an interview with Bombay Times that they are not engaged as of yet.

Arya first expressed her surprise on how she doesn't get that these rumors of their engagement came from as that instance of proposing and placing a ring was just a part of their act. She further mentioned how the ring that Alam proposed her with was in fact borrowed from the set.

She, however, clarified later how they are indeed dating each other but they have no plans of getting engaged anytime soon. She concluded by saying that they have just been dating for the last 8-9 months and are still in the process of getting to know each other and hence don't want to rush into anything.
