"She filmed a rain sequence despite battling a high fever"- Arjun & Kartk on Sushmita's commitment for 'Taali'

Actor Sushmita Sen has managed to have probably one of the best comebacks in recent times, as she is now a part of a series like Aarya that has spawned three seasons. Aarya 3 was released just a few days ago.

However, apart from that, Sen also led the much-acclaimed and appreciated Taali, which premiered back in August on JioCinema. The actor is known to have an incredible work ethic, which is revered by the people who work with her. On that note, in an exclusive conversation with us, we asked producers of Taali - Arjun & Kartk a couple of questions about Sen in terms of her process and any interaction or moment with her that they will cherish.

Q. About Sushmita, which was the biggest surprise for you in terms of her process?

A- As we all know, Sushmita Sen is undoubtedly one of the finest actors of our time. We had been long-time fans of hers before collaborating. During our time working alongside her, we were really impressed by her professionalism, punctuality, and unwavering dedication. She filmed a rain sequence despite battling a high fever; her commitment to the role was truly commendable. She even underwent a weight gain transformation for the character, and her daily makeup would take a minimum of two hours. She approached these challenges with a smiling face.

Q. The one interaction/moment with Sushmita that you will cherish?

A-. When we finalised the content, Sushmita was our immediate choice. Given her acquaintance with Arjun, he approached her with the script. At that time, she was occupied with the shooting of Arya, and it took nearly six months for her to review and immerse herself in the script thoroughly.  She worked on perfecting her body language, dialect, and appearance to portray Shreegauri Sawant authentically. Those who remember Sushmita from her role in "Main Hoon Na" were shocked to see her transformation in "Taali." Her dedication and thorough preparation to embody both Ganesh and Gauri made this achievement possible.
