Shawar Ali has encouraged me to participate in Jhalak - Preetika Rao

Who in their wildest dreams would have guessed that Preetika Rao and Shawar Ali were friends? Well, not even us. The pretty actress and the super-hot model had lunch together yesterday at a suburban cafe.

We buzzed Preetika who then told us, "Shawar and I have worked in a Kannada film together, where he played the villain. I have known him since 2009."

Quiz her as to how she managed to remain in touch with him after shifting base to Mumbai, she said, "We have been in touch on and off all these years. And social media and whatsapp do help."

While Preetika rose to fame with her show 'Beintehaa' , Shawar Ali is a famous supermodel and is married to supermodel Marcela Ayesha. The lovely duo was the runner up of the show Power Couple.

Sharing more about her chit chat, Preetika revealed, "Shawar is a very encouraging person. He has encouraged me to participate in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and other reality shows because he feels that reality shows are big in India."
