Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has joined the debate around actor Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise.
Sinha was a part of a panel discussion on a news channel where he opened up about Sushant's suicide case and the boycott culture in Bollywood. He said that he supports the demand of a CBI inquiry in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Further, Shatrughan Sinha took an indirect jibe at Karan Johar's popular show Koffee with Karan. He blamed such shows to create controversies.
Without taking any names, Sinha also asserted that the industry is not anyone's property and one cannot boycott someone from the film industry.
Actor turned politician, Shatrughan Sinha was quoted as saying:
"During our era, there was no Koffee with Arjun. These kinds of planned events are what cause controversies. As far as those who are being talked about at the moment are all members of our own society, but film industry doesn't belong to one person that anyone can say, 'Let's boycott this person' or 'remove this person from the industry'. Who are you to say that? How did you enter the industry and what have you done in life?"
Previously, his daughter Sonakshi Sinha also received a flak on social media and was called a product of Nepotism. Besides Sona, other actors like Alia Bhatt, Swara Bhasker, Taapsee Pannu, Ananya Panday have also been facing the trolls.
Sonakshi Sinha subsequently quit Twitter owing to the negativity on the social media platform.
