Shaheer Sheikh is an absolutely popular name in the industry and he has been in the news for the last few days not only for the return of his show, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi with Erica Fernandes, but also, for his marriage to Ruchikka Kapoor and reports of the two expecting their first child. In a recent interview with The Times of India, Shaheer got talking about life after marriage, reception, and more.
Ask him about the reception that was earlier due in June, the actor says that it stands cancelled and that he lost two close relatives due to COVID-19, which has left him scared. He did add, however, that he would like for his parents to come to Mumbai, but he isn't sure if it is safe for them to travel. He says that he never wanted a big fat wedding, even though his parents did want them to have one, but he likes things simple.
As for reports about the two expecting their first child, the actor says, ''Let’s not talk about it. It is too early to comment.''
About wanting to explore other mediums, the actor says that he has done television for a decade and he is at ease when he does characters on TV since it gives him the time to work on it, rehearse and connect with the masses. He says that he still misses his unit for Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. He added, ''It is a connect you build when you work together for 12 hours every day. I feel TV actors hardly have a social life because we are busy working.''
About working in the middle of a pandemic, and if he has his apprehensions. Shaheer said that he is anxious given shoots are being cancelled and people are testing positive. However, he added that the shows are entertaining people during the current situation and he is glad to see the makers do a fantastic job. He also feels that he makes a living out of acting and he always believes in giving his best irrespective of the situation.
